Position: Senior Account Executive

Pace Public Relations is a female-led media relations firm, headquartered in NYC. We are seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Account Executive to join our Lifestyle team. This role will support an exciting and fast-growing client base of top thought leaders, startups and SMB companies ranging in categories from lifestyle, health + wellness, style + beauty, medical, personal finance and more. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in strategic media relations at an agency and some experience with affiliate marketing, executing on earned media-first campaigns that deliver results, blending a strategic approach with tactical expertise.

This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who is confident in managing deliverables and maintaining client relationships. You will work in collaboration with team members while also owning specific accounts and initiatives, with the support of leadership, to support client goals.

The candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in media relations, with agency experience a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Earned Media Relations:Lead the development and execution of media relations strategies to secure high-quality coverage across lifestyle, consumer, business, and trade outlets. Craft compelling pitches and identify newsworthy angles to position clients as thought leaders and innovators in their industries.
  • Content Development: Draft and oversee the dissemination of press materials, including pitches, press releases, and media advisories. Conduct proactive outreach to secure media coverage across various platforms, including print, online, podcasts, and broadcast outlets.
  • Account Management: Provide account oversight and support on projects.  Take a leadership role in organizing client work, driving progress in delegated tasks and leading on media outreach.
  • Affiliate Marketing: Support and execute affiliate marketing strategies in collaboration with clients and partners, ensuring seamless integration into broader media efforts.
  • Project Execution: Manage account work on multiple campaigns simultaneously with precision and attention to deadlines.
  • Measurement and Reporting: Consistently monitor campaign success, analyze results, and refine strategies to enhance outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Media Relations Expertise: Proven ability to build relationships with media contacts and secure placements in diverse outlets.
  • Affiliate Marketing Experience: A working knowledge of affiliate platforms like Awin or Impact.
  • Communication Skills: Foundational writing, speaking, and persuasive storytelling abilities are critical.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Collaborative Approach: Team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to supporting colleagues and clients.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity of appropriate and effective use of tools like MuckRack, Google Analytics, PodChaser, ChatGPT.

Work Environment: Pace Public Relations is a fully remote company with an office headquartered in Midtown Manhattan. While we offer a flexible remote work policy, in-person collaboration at our Manhattan office is encouraged. We are considering all qualified candidates; however, we are prioritizing applicants based in the New York City area who can attend in-person events, participate in in-studio opportunities, and engage directly with clients and media in the city.

Regular work hours are 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
