Annie Scranton is the Founder and CEO of Pace Public Relations (Pace PR), an award-winning New York City-based public relations agency specializing in media relations, strategic communications, and brand storytelling. Since founding the firm in 2010, Annie has transformed her passion for storytelling into a results-driven agency that helps brands amplify their voices, shape their narratives, and connect authentically with their audiences. She leads Pace PR with a collaborative, people-first approach and a steadfast commitment to continuous growth for both clients and colleagues.
Before launching Pace PR, Annie spent nearly a decade as a television producer, booking guests for top national networks including CNN, Fox News, CNBC, MSNBC, and ABC. Expanding beyond traditional earned media, her team now leads campaigns in influencer marketing, affiliate partnerships, climate communications, paid media, and thought leadership—delivering measurable brand awareness and audience growth for clients. Annie also hosts The PR Pace Podcast, where she interviews some of the industry’s most influential voices, and is the author of The Guide to Earned Media (Kogan Page, 2023).
A passionate educator and mentor, Annie teaches Public Relations at NYU’s School of Professional Studies and serves on the Northeast Regional Board of Directors for Step Up, a nonprofit empowering girls and young women through mentorship. A proud Smith College alumna, she has served on the Board of the New York Smith College Club and frequently collaborates with the college. She also volunteers through Encore NYC, maintaining a long-term friendship with Orya, whom she’s spoken with weekly for three years.
Under Annie’s leadership, Pace PR has earned numerous accolades, including recognition as a Top Place to Work and certification as a Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) in the state of New York—an achievement that reflects her dedication to inclusion and equity in the communications industry.
