In 2021, Todd Furniss published The 60 Percent Solution, a book outlining his call for a return to privity of contract, consumerism, and a decreased interdependence on insurance as a solution to society’s approach to healthcare. After creating the Healthcare Inequality Index, Furniss established the Center for Impact Indices, an organization equipped to measure the impact made by investments aimed at sustainable development goals.

Furniss has over 30 years of global experience in private equity, management consulting, and senior-level operations. He has implemented operations strategies that grew profits in more than 10 industries but have since dedicated his expertise to the healthcare industry. Furniss is the CEO of gTC Group, a private equity firm that also performs macro-economic research.

Furniss is often featured by the media as a subject-matter expert on political and economic issues and has been quoted discussing healthcare issues and real estate projects in the Wall Street Journal, Dallas Business Journal, The Dallas Morning News, Becker’s Hospital Review, and D Magazine, among others.

Furniss is a member of the Young Presidents Organization and has served on numerous profit and not-for-profit boards. He and his wife Heather support a number of local and national charities, including The Salvation Army. Furniss received a BA in Political Science in 1981 from Old Dominion University and his Juris Doctor from George Mason University School of Law.
