Lianne is a recognized expert on security, risk, and political violence. She currently serves as Chief Strategy Officer at Concentric Advisors, a risk consultancy supporting private clients and corporations, where she leads client engagements for advisory services, threat assessment, risk management, and strategic planning. Prior to joining Concentric, Lianne led an international research group working for a U.S. cybersecurity company in Abu Dhabi. Lianne also served as a Policy Analyst in the National Security Research Division of RAND Corporation, where she conducted classified and unclassified research on security policy and planning, violent non-state actors, and partner capacity building. Lianne also taught in the Social Sciences department of the United States Military Academy at West Point, where she conducted research for the Combating Terrorism Center, including one of the first studies of terrorist propaganda using primary sources. She holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts from University of California Santa Cruz.
