Jesse Pelletier MD FACS is a Board-Certified Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He received his training at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute(ranked #1 for ophthalmology by US News and World reports). He is a practicing eye surgeon, head of infection control at his affiliated institutions in Miami and the US Virgin Islands, and co-founder of Halodine, LLC and Veloce BioPharma. He has served as both investigator and principal investigator for numerous clinical trials and consulted for the pharmaceutical industry. Dr. Pelletier has written and spoken extensively on diseases of the ocular surface, epidemiology of eye infections, ocular microbiology, infectious disease, infection control, and topical antiseptics. He is an international expert on these topics having authored more than 35 scientific papers. He currently practices at the Ocean Ophthalmology Group in Miami, FL, and Plessen Ophthalmology in the USVI. He is on staff at North Miami Beach Surgery Center, and Memorial Regional Hospital.
